How to join our Accessibility Collective

We believe everyone has the right to access digital services, regardless of their technical ability or accessibility needs. However, did you know that only 3% of the internet is fully accessible to people with disabilities? That’s why we’ve launched our Accessibility Collective, an exclusive group of participants who have special requirements when it comes to accessing services online, due to their disabilities and impairments.
Since 2016, one of our main goals has been to try and help make products and services accessible to all. Our #MakeTheWebAccessible campaign saw us partner with WECIL (West of England Centre for Inclusive Living) and aimed to raise awareness of digital inclusion and encourage those living with impairments to join our community and take part in paid research. This campaign and our inclusivity efforts since then inspired us to create and launch the Accessibility Collective.
If you have an impairment or health condition that impacts you day-to-day, we’d love for you to join us and help to improve digital and physical experiences for people like yourself!
Here’s a short list of benefits that members of the Accessibility Collective can enjoy:
▪️ Get paid generously for your time (starting at £40 per hour, but often more).
▪️ You’ll be invited to paid research studies based on just your profile, usually with no need for further screening or applications, and you can simply choose to accept or decline opportunities.
▪️ Contribute towards interesting and important studies that will improve services for users like yourself and, overall, make products and services more accessible and inclusive.
▪️ Have your unique and invaluable opinion heard by those who can make change happen.
How to join
To join this group, please complete the form on this page. A member of the team will then give you a call back to tell you a little more about the panel and find out more about you!
By agreeing to being part of the panel, you will be part of an exclusive group of participants who will be directly contacted more frequently than our standard participant community to get involved in research. There will be no screening process for each session, as we already know everything we need. If the details we have for you change, please do let us know as we use this to check suitability for the studies we invite you to.
Terms and conditions
The collective is managed differently compared to our regular participant community, in an effort to make our processes more inclusive for those with access needs and to accommodate the needs of our clients who require regular accessibility testing.
▪️ As a member of the collective, you will be removed from our main community and will only receive exclusive invites to take part in projects specific to the Accessibility Collective.
▪️ You will be invited to take part in more research projects than would normally be offered to the main community. You can choose to take part if you’re available on the dates and wish to take part.
▪️ Some clients may request to see the same participants on more than one occasion. By agreeing to take part, you are happy for us to contact you for repeat projects for the same client. However, as per point 2, you are not required to accept participating in any projects.
▪️ To ensure we protect your rights, we request if a client contacts you directly to attend any additional research, that you contact us to let us know. This is so we can make sure your rights are maintained and your data is protected.
▪️ Upon joining, we will ask for your bank details and store these in order to process your incentive payments as and when you take part. These will be stored until you request to be removed from the Accessibility Collective.
